When you think of Bedfordshire you might think arable farms, green fields, flat countryside but there is also a wealth of history too and with that comes some fabulous wedding venues.
If you are looking for somewhere that’s a bit different for your wedding reception you might like to consider The Conservatory at Luton Hoo Walled Garden. When you arrive you’ll see a stunning marquee which is beautifully situated in the exquisitely maintained grounds of Bedfordshire’s world-famous Luton Hoo Estate. Just imagine, your wedding reception taking place in a walled garden – how perfect and romantic is that?
I discovered The Conservatory at the Luton Hoo Walled Garden when I was invited to entertain guests at the wedding of Nicola and James. This amazing, five-acre octagonal walled garden can be found bordering Harpenden and Luton and fits the bill for anyone looking for a tranquil wedding setting in Bedfordshire. The garden dates back to the late 18th century when it was created by John Stuart, 3rd Earl of Bute, friend and advisor to King George III and also, more famously, a consultant in the planning of Kew Gardens.
This is such an idyllic place for any wedding reception, a haven away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life where guests can enjoy summer drinks on decking whilst admiring the garden. Afterwards the stylish interior does not disappoint with its starlight ceiling and much more – a magical venue which can just benefit from that added touch of magic! My magic, in such an unusual location, made a perfect combination at Nicola and James’s wedding “Christopher created a new magic trick for our special day and delighted our guests young and old. He was a great talking point and added that extra something to our day – a wonderfully talented young man”.
And as the name suggests, The Walled Garden is easily accessible for all your guests with an airport nearby and easy access from all parts of the country, including London and the north, via the M1 and M25 motorway connections.
