New Year’s Party Magic

New Year’s Party Magic

It doesn’t matter whether the last year has been a good one, a bad one or, indeed, an OK one, New Year’s Eve is traditionally the time when everyone lets their hair down to say goodbye to the old year and welcome in the new. And what better way of making your New Year’s Eve party more entertaining than with a bit of magic? In my experience, it doesn’t matter if you’re organising a black tie affair in a grand setting or a casual house party, if you add a magician to the mix, you will transform a great party into an absolutely memorable one.

BREAKING THE ICE

A magician works especially well at parties where there are lots of people who don’t know each other so well. I will ‘work the room’ and perform to small groups of people, and always find that other people come and join us as soon as they see there’s something interesting going on. Having this kind of shared experience gives everyone something to talk about, and encourages conversation. The noise levels in the room are always louder when I leave it than it was when I arrived!

I can work my magic (literally) in different stages of the night. If you’re treating your guests to a drinks reception beforehand, I have the perfect routine to dart from group to group helping the guests ease their way into the night.

Professional London Magician

No-one gets ‘hangry’!

If you are organising a formal sit-down dinner for a lot of people there can be be a lull of activity with the anticipation of the food’s arrival. This means that hungry diners on the last tables to be served could get restless as they sit and watch – and smell – other people’s food being placed in front of them. Table magic will solve the problem by keeping hungry diners distracted and amused whilst other people begin tucking in – a good magician will always liaise with waiting staff beforehand so they know the order in which the tables will be served.

Magic for corporate events

Once the first few tables have finished eating and their plates have been cleared, they will then be the ones waiting for everyone else to finish. There again, table magic can help keep them entertained whilst they wait for the next course.

If you want to get a better idea of the kind of magic I do at parties, check out my videos – scroll down the page for examples of individual tricks.

I’m always booked to perform at parties on New Year’s Eve and this year is no exception. However, if you are planning to have a party in January – many companies choose to wait until after Christmas to have their party because everyone needs something to look forward to in the first, dark couple of months of the new year – give me a ring on 07747 141 238 to check my availability. And of course, if you’d like to make your 2018 New Year’s Eve party extra special, contact me now… before someone else does.
