My favourite close up magic tricks

Every professional magician has their own particular favourite close up magic tricks that they love to perform for audiences. I enjoy all my sleight-of-hand tricks, so it’s impossible to pick just one that stands out above the others. However, I have managed to narrow it down to my top five close-up illusions, which always produce a great reaction. Which makes them fun to perform – in fact, I like them so much, I’ve made videos of them in action! Take a look at my close-up magic trick video’s and you’ll understand why they are so popular. 1 – Amazing interactive sleight-of-hand card trick

My mesmerising interactive card trick is very quick. It takes no longer than 30 seconds to perform – probably less time than the reactions I get from my amazed audience! Even though it’s on video, try choosing a different card every time you watch – you’ll be blown away by the results.

2 – Interactive close up magic number mind trick

Don’t be put off by the fact that I’m asking you to do maths – it’s very easy! Even more astonishing is the way I’ll get the right number time after time after time. At the beginning of my interactive magic number trick, I’ll ask you to pick a number. You then follow my instructions and at the end, I’ll let you know what your answer is. Spooky! This mind-trick is best performed standing close to or among the audience. It is the perfect ice-breaker at corporate Christmas parties and weddings. Where it is important to engage the guests and assist them in getting to know one-and-other.

3 – How a deck of playing cards is made!!

Have you ever wondered how a deck of playing cards is made? If you’ve guessed that it’s an extremely normal, boring process done in a factory, you could be wrong… It’s far more magical than that, as I demonstrate in the video. As you’d expect, as a close up magician I use a lot of packs of cards, so this handy trick is great when my stocks run low! Children and adults alike love sleight-of-hand card tricks, So, this type of magic the perfect way to entertain your guests at a private birthday party, where space maybe at a premium.

4 – Mobile banking table magic trick

Even though we’ve adapted to contactless payments, there’ll always be times when you’re out with friends only to discover you’re at a cash-only bar. No one has any on them or knows where the nearest cash machine is. I’ve got that sorted in the form of a mobile banking table magic trick. Unfortunately, the app is only available to magicians at the moment, but wouldn’t it be nice if all banks implemented this mobile feature! This modern magic is perfect for being performed at close quarters to small groups.

5 – Chewing gum micromagic

We all like to keep our mouths minty fresh, but we can be quite particular about which chewing gum we use. So, what if you’re at a wedding and want to freshen your breath, but no one has the gum you like best? Fortunately, I can take any pack of chewing gum and magically change it into your favourite flavour, in a second! Close-up tricks, like chewing gum magic, are perfect to be performed during drinks parties or as interval table magic.
